I held the position of radio production director during the 2021-2022 school year. I led a team of around 10 students in making liners, bumps and PSAs that aired on 99.1. Each week, I came up with a new assignment for my team to work on. We used homemade foley, edited "interviews" with artists using their lyrics as responses, and went back in time with our "This Week in History" liners. We also made liners for important holidays or seasons, such as for Black History Month, winter break, and summer vacation, and promotional liners for events such as TEDxIU, Music Market and the Bloomington Music Expo. A liner I made to promote Culture Shock 2021 was nominated for an Intercollegiate Broadcasting Systems Award. In addition to leading my group, I worked with other directors to create material for their teams. The programming directors and I hosted "liner nights" once a semester to help DJs create advertisements for their shows. Additionally, I worked with the sports director to create liners to play during sports broadcasts, a first for the station. In both cases, I helped members write and record ideas, and then edited and uploaded finished liners to play on-air. Over 100 original liners were created and uploaded during my time as radio production director. I am so thankful to the "312 crew" for being an incredible group of people to work with and I am proud of the hard work I put into the position.
